Inspired by her frequent trips to the Indonesian Island of Bali, Annie Haak (pronounced ‘Hark’) first started designing sterling silver jewellery in 2009. Touched by the people, spirituality and warmth around her, she captured the energy and beauty of the island in simple pencil sketches that inspired her early jewellery designs.
Annie’s designs were hand-cast by the island’s renowned silversmiths using traditional techniques which have been passed from father to son for generations. At first Annie made pieces for herself, but requests from friends and family quickly flooded in. As word spread Annie realised she could turn her passion into a business; but not without some help. With a team of just three, Annie Haak Designs was born in June 2010.
Now in its third year the company has experienced phenomenal growth that has seen its products featured in the country’s most influential fashion journals and on the wrists, necks and fingers of some of our biggest style icons. Annie still travels to Indonesia throughout the year to work on new designs with our silversmiths and each new collection captures the Balinese heritage of the brand. Attention to detail and flawless workmanship are central to the design and creation process. All of our sterling silver charms are handmade using ancient silver casting techniques and the finest materials available.
Annie’s jewellery is designed to be worn and loved, with each season bringing beautiful new pieces and offering something new to those who have already started their own collections. Brightly coloured semi-precious gemstones, symbolic charms, and inspirational mantras combine with more feminine and nature-inspired themes in each collection.
Bracelets can be worn layered and stacked in combinations of silver and colourful beaded bracelets, leather and silk wraps, and cord and silk bands all jingling with sterling silver charms. Necklaces can be worn long or short, dainty or as a statement and rings and earrings always attract admiring glances. Annie Haak Designs is a brand infused with everyday glamour.
