Accessorise with a Best Dressed Man

Of course sterling silver jewellery by Annie Haak Designs is every girl’s idea of the perfect fashion accessory but sometimes it’s not just about the bling. Who, as the ultimate fashion statement, wouldn’t want a super-stylish man on her arm? This year’s recommendations from GQ are out and here’s a look at our best dressed men-folk alongside consideration of how they compare to Annie Haak Designs’ 2012 collection – just for fun!

Tinie Tempah – rated Best Dressed Man of 2012 by GQ

Musician Tinie is a man who likes his accessories, especially his funky specs and gold watch, and his style has been described as individualistic. He favours loose fitting fashion, with an emphasis on practicality such as utility jackets and cargo shorts. A few nods to his African roots also come through in Tinie’s style with bright and bold patters on his t-shirts. He also has a suave side where he’ll combine more comfortable styles with dress shirts and smarter suede boots. You could say that this British rap star is Mr Urban-wear.

The Seri Sterling Silver and Multi Gemstone Bracelet would be our best representation of Mr Tempah. This original Annie Haak bracelet is understated yet funky and when stacked along with other sterling silver charm bracelets it would make a real fashion statement. The styling is subtle and could be worn with casual wear or evening wear - the colours are bright, bold, urban and fun.

Mario Balotelli – rated Second-Best Dressed Man of 2012 by GQ

This stylish footballer is really setting the OTM sporty trend on fire with his look on and off the pitch but he’s also known for having an eccentric edge. Mario is not shy when it comes to accessorising and is quite often papped wearing men’s jewellery. Rapper Tinchy Stryder even designed a T-shirt inspired by the Manchester City striker– the Why Always Me tee. Perhaps Mario can’t help but be a style icon as a result of his Italian genes!

We’d liken Mario to a Hip Happy Hip Necklace/Hipster Chain, as worn by Elle MacPherson – Miss sporty chic herself. Mr Balotelli has a body to-die-for and the versatile and ultra-hip Hip Happy Hip can be worn hipster style over a bikini as well as a long necklace, short double necklace or a rosary style necklace.

Matt Smith – rated Third-Best Dressed Man of 2012 by GQ

Matt Smith is probably best known as the current Doctor Who. This man who rocks a tweed jacket/ bow tie/floppy hair style in character opts for more of an Indie, vintage look when out and about.  Just like his on-screen alias, Smith always has something a little bit quirky about his look, whether it’s brightly coloured socks or a denim jacket featuring a stitch-on badge.

If Matt were part of the Annie Haak collection he’d be Tili Sterling Silver and Purple Turquoise Peace Sign Pendant Necklace. Annie's interpretation of the iconic peace sign has been carved from Magnasite and then dip-dyed to a purple satin finish, providing a little bit of now meets then combined with a quirky, hippy vibe and a whole lot of cool.
