Paris Fashion Week was a menagerie of Euro Fashion from London-based Vivienne Westwood to France’s own Jean Paul Gaultier and each fashion designer had their own quirky theme. While Vivienne went multi-cultural Jean Paul took inspiration from his favourite era and, the best news of all is, Annie Haak Designs has fabulous sterling silver jewellery to complement both trendy collections.

Vivienne Westwood chose to represent multiple countries and myriad centuries in her Spring-Summer 2013 catwalk show, taking the audience on a voyage of discovery from Chinese tea house to the Russian ballet. She described her latest collection as “global exotic” and key pieces included customised Japanese kimonos, chic baggy pants and turbans.

We think that one of our new sparkling statement necklaces - Sparkle Pendant Necklace - Grey Hematite and Sterling Silver - 3mm beads – with a matching pair of sterling silver earrings would lend extra luxuriousness to Vivienne’s stunning light grey silk kimono creation.

An extra eccentric twist to this lavish display was a model portraying the Queen. What’s more the British designer demonstrated that she doesn’t just do dresses but amazing fashion accessories too by presenting the Gainsborough Collection. The new jewellery line, fronted by Georgia May Jagger, featured treats such as a tiara, necklaces and sapphire earrings. She also stated that tiaras aren’t just for royalty:

“You can just have quite messy hair, and just shove a couple of grips in it, and have this tiara and a scruffy little dress or whatever. It’s a way of dressing. You can wear rubbish and you can just put that on and it does something for your hair and everything, so I like tiaras.”

Well, that’s certainly one way to look and feel effortlessly fabulous!

Meanwhile, Jean Paul’s muses a la mode were his favourite 1980s pop icons. Models resembling the likes of Madonna - cone bras and fishnet tops ahoy- and Michael Jackson in that red leather jacket and fedora ensemble rocked Gaultier’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection complete with a decadent disco ball and 80s club tunes to set the catwalk pace. It was fantastic to see Michael Jackson inspiring the latest looks once again after Philip Treacy’s homage to the King of Pop at London Fashion Week.

Our cute and cool Itsy Bitsy Pinky Rings featuring a sterling silver cross charm alongside a chic Gili Large Cross Necklace or a colour-popping Candy Pop Cross Necklace, now with 30% off, would look super-fresh and oh-so JPG. Go on; get that Paris Fashion Week chic without even leaving the house!
