Skyfall Jewellery for Bond Girls
While Sean Connery showed us that Diamonds are Forever in 1971, the latest Bond film, Skyfall, has inspired a stunning new jewellery collaboration between Swarovski and leading British jewellery designer Stephen Webster to bring fashion accessories bang up-to-date for all aspiring Bond Girls.
We’ve heard that Webster has designed a total of four jewellery collections for Swarovski - Love Knot, Black Bamboo, Heat Seeker and Queen Cobra - in order to “encapsulate all the movie magic of James Bond’s latest adventure”. Berenice Marlohe is the film’s lead actress and we can’t wait to see which pieces from the Skyfall collection that she’ll be sparkling in.
“The themes in the film seem to fit perfectly with the design aesthetic of the jewellery I create, and the many creative meetings at Pinewood Studios between Swarovski, ourselves and the Bond team have only added to our enthusiasm for the project. We can’t wait to see the jewels, shaken not stirred within the movie,” said Webster.
The Love Knot collection features both black and clear crystals set in Swarovski’s Pointiage setting, which provides maximum sparkle. Black and clear crystals are two things that Annie Haak also does well, why not recreate a bit of Bond Girl glamour with a Little Bit of Sparkle Bracelet featuring a solid heart charm and jet black Swarovski crystals or a set of five stunning Sama Sparkle Silver and Clear Crystal Charm Bracelets?
What’s more, the Black Bamboo collection includes a long pair of drop earrings with a certain Audrey Hepburn chic about them, much like our Sterling Silver and Pearl Dangle Earrings, while the Heat Seeker collection features an open cross design that has been used to create a stunning necklace, ring and earrings set. Annie Haak Designs also channels the gothic trend with an OTM Gili Large Cross Necklace and Sterling Silver Itsy Bitsy Pinky Ring with silver cross charm.
The Skyfall jewellery collection will launch in mid-October and the new Bond film will be in British cinemas from 26th October, 2012.
