From the very first charm she designed to the signature pieces and collections so many of you know and love today, Annie has always believed jewellery should be personal. Jewellery should hold meaning, celebrate milestones and carry the moments that matter most. Here’s the story behind the woman, the brand and the jewellery.
Where It All Began
In 2009, Annie received a phone call that changed everything. Annie’s husband Johnie had been involved in a serious motorcycle accident whilst travelling in Bali. Within five hours, Annie was on a flight to be by his side, facing the uncertainty of what lay ahead. That simple thought became the inspiration behind her very first design.
The Story Behind My Guardian Angel
The My Guardian Angel charm was born from one of the most difficult moments of Annie’s life. It became a symbol of love, strength, protection and wellbeing - something meaningful that could be carried close. A chance meeting with a Balinese silversmith helped bring Annie’s first design to life. From here, her vision for Annie Haak Designs began to grow.
What stated as one meaningful charm became the beginning of a jewellery brand built around stories, memories and moments that matter most.
Inspired By Bali
From the very beginning, Bali has held a special place in Annie’s heart.
Annie fell in love with the beauty, spirit and creativity of the island - a place that continues to inspire her designs today. She spends much of her time there with her dogs, Mafia and Lola, visiting the skilled silversmiths who help bring her ideas to life and finding inspiration in Bali’s colours, nature and incredible craftsmanship.
The island has become an important part of Annie’s creative process, influencing not only the jewellery itself but the way she thinks about design and craftsmanship.

Annie has always believed jewellery should mean more than simply something beautiful to wear.
She wanted to create pieces that could hold memories, celebrate milestones and carry the moments that matter most. Made to Be Stacked, Layered & Personal
Annie didn’t just create jewellery - she wanted to create a way to wear it.
She began designing bracelets that could be layered together, mixed and matched and built around your own story. Long before stacking became the trend it is today, it was already at the heart of Annie’s designs. See some of the early days stacks below!

From her time spent in Bali and working aloneside skilled siversmiths to developing new designs and collections with her team, Annie's original vision continues to shape Annie Haak Designs.
And while the brand has grown significantly since that first creation, the reason behind it all remains the same: creating jewellery that people can connect with, wear their own way and make part of their story.
