The 22nd of April is Earth Day! Here at Annie Haak we are committed to giving back to society and the planet. Our goal is to do our part for the planet, whilst delivering you gorgeous jewellery.
Did you know that Silver is endlessly recyclable? As all of our jewellery is handcrafted in 925 Sterling Silver - we minimise our impact on the planet by melting and reusing the Silver from pieces that don't pass our quality control. This means that these pieces can find a second life as a new piece of jewellery whilst minimising material waste!
We are supporting the local community in Bali by collaborating with small Silversmiths that have grown their businesses with Annie Haak Designs. The artisans in Bali have incredible skills which are passed down through generations, something that Annie is passionate about. She loves that these crafts are being kept alive. The skill which goes into every wax carving is extraordinary, and Annie never tires of watching the artist achieve something magnificent from a free hand drawing.
Annie is quietly proud that she has been able – due to the success of Annie Haak Designs – to keep the tradition and arts evolving as well as helping to support the livelihood of the local people. This has stemmed from mutual respect for Balinese culture and craftsmanship and it has been - and continues to be - a wonderful life experience.
Last year, we started our partnership with Greenspark, an initiative that shares our passion for a more sustainable future. For each £150 spent on our website, we will plant 1 TREE and rescue 5 PLASTIC BOTTLES to nurture our planet. Together we are ensuring that Annie Haak and NU & MII Designs have a positive impact on our planet. As a business we are committed to making more eco-conscious choices and fight climate change.
