With the purpose of celebrating the social, economical, cultural and political achievements of women, International Women's Day 2019 also marks a call for action for accelerating gender equality. We agree that a balanced world is a better world, so we are raising awareness and taking action by striking the #BalanceforBetter pose.
Here at ANNIE HAAK, we’ve chosen to mark the occasion by supporting Smart Works, a UK-based charity dedicated to coaching and dressing unemployed women for job success. At the heart of Smart Works, women are invited for a personalised styling session, receiving a complete outfit of clothes and accessories for their specific job interview.
After her dressing, a one-to-one coaching session is offered with an experienced professional, preparing her for various questions and scenarios. Once a client is successful at interview, Smart Works welcomes her back for another styling session, meaning that they walk away with the beginnings of a capsule wardrobe for when she starts her new role.
To compliment her newfound skills, style and confidence and the incredible work Smart Works are doing for women around the country, here at ANNIE HAAK we have gifted a number of beautiful bespoke sterling silver charm bracelets. Engraved with the motto ‘Dream Big’, they carry a special inspirational message to wear on interview day and forever more.
