This year’s premier London jewellery event seems to have been a resounding success with exhibitors and retailers not only taking away commissions and orders but also gaining new contacts and inspirations.

The first Jewellery Show London took place at Somerset House, London, from 12th to 13th June and saw more than 90 representatives from the jewellery and fashion accessories industries, both British and international, exhibiting their wares and services.

Attending the show was an excellent opportunity for the most creative and exclusive brands in the industry to showcase their necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings to fashion buyers looking for the hottest innovations in jewellery design.

Most of the jewellery designers and jewellery brands in attendance had smaller boutique-esque stands but Baccarat, Ti Sento, Clogau Gold and Aagaard made more of a feature with their larger exhibits.

On the first day of the show, Pandora held their buyers meeting and the British jeweller’s Association held its AGM, both of which drew in big crowds. But there was just as much buzz after the show with lots of industry networking at chic champagne receptions.

Julie Driscoll, The Jewellery Show London event director was pleased to announce that the event was an "enormous success," with a fabulous footfall and she went on to say:

"It is brilliant to see the UK’s independent jewellery sector showing such great resilience despite the uncertain economic outlook.”

The Jewellery Show Birmingham will take place from 3rd to 7th February 2013 and Annie Haak Designs can’t wait to hear all about it.
