Annie Haak Designs is renowned for it's sterling silver jewellery created to make you look fabulous and their Spring/Summer 2013 collection is no exception. Inspired by a wide range of trends, from florals and neons to leather and layering, the new collection features 18 carat gold vermeil for the first time.

Key pieces in the new collection include Saba silver and gold bangles, with matching rings and earrings, and Mali Tali friendship bracelets in this season's hot neon colour combos. As always the emphasis is on relaxed glamour with all peices designed to be layered together to create any number of different looks.

As for mixing silver and gold, once seen as a huge style faux pas, a recent article in the Telegraph revealed that it’s now acceptable to be seen wearing a combination of gold and silver jewellery.  It seems that today’s fashionistas are channelling the likes of Parisian fashion designer Camille Miceli who has a passion for wearing an assortment of jewellery and even mixes materials.  Award-winning jewellery designer Monica Vinader commented in the same article that:

"It's particularly chic to wear silver, gold and bronze together...Rose gold looks best on pale skin. I love gold worn with dark hair and, as I get older, I think gold is the most flattering metal on me. Silver looks best with a tan."

Whilst the rules on mixing your precious metals have been relaxed, many style icons still seem to have a fave when it comes to wearing what suits them – Rihanna goes for gold jewellery while Cheryl is more of a silver necklace and bracelet type of girl.

Whether you're more silver than gold, or like to mix it up, followers of fashion will be spolit for choice with the new Annie Haak SS13 jewellery collection.

Annie Haak Designs new SS13 jewellery collection goes on sale Friday 19th April 2013.
